Recordist Profile

Bristol, United Kingdom
During and after studying Zoology at the University of Bristol, I have been studying the diet of urban Peregrines and colour ringing their young. I am a licensed bird ringer, and train others to handle and ring birds. I have been on the committee for the Bristol Ornithological Club for 13 years, and am currently the club’s chairman.
I have a regular wildlife slot on BBC Radio Bristol, report on BBC Radio 4’s Saving Species, write for BBC Magazines, and provide wildlife commentary on boat trips down the Avon Gorge and on the Exe Estuary.
I also lead groups on wildlife holidays around the world for Naturetrek, showing people everything from birds to whales and dolphins.
Prior to my role at the University, I worked for seven years as a learning officer at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, enabling various audiences to engage with the museum and its collections.”
