Jiri Mountain Moss Waterfall

Jirisan was designated as South Korea’s first national park on December 29, 1967.
It is located in three provinces, one city, and four counties: Gyeongsangnam-do, Jeollanam-do, and Jeollabuk-do, 15 towns and villages.
Jirisan National Park covers an area of 483.022 square kilometers, making it the largest of South Korea’s 22 national parks.

Jirisan Moss Waterfall is located in the Bamsagol Valley of Jirisan Mountain in Buun-ri, Namwon-si, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea. It’s located at the northeastern foothills of Banya Peak (1,732 meters), one of the three main peaks of Jirisan.

A stream of water runs along the mossy rocks in all seasons. The water cascaded in layers down the mossy rocks. The high mountain sun was beginning to peek over the peaks early, and the trees cast deep shadows on the mossy falls.
